POOLS CASHIER/SLIDE ATTENDANTS (SEASONAL)

JOB SUMMARY

Assist in supervising the pool office, responsible for all financial transactions, and assist Managers and Assistant Pool Managers in supervising staff. Must be available to work evenings, weekdays, and weekends. Perform other related work as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for all cash handling at the pools which includes daily gate fees, season pass sales, and concessions or merchandise sales. Answer questions concerning pool programs and sign patrons up with Class software. Use a cash register and keep attendance records on Class software or paper. Finalize daily deposits, including final count and deposit of funds into the safe. Maintain a clean office. Greet and communicate pool rules to patrons before entry. Answer telephone and act as a customer service representative. Communicate courteously and effectively (in English), verbally and in writing, with patrons, the public, city employees, and officials. Perform attendant duties at the top and bottom of the slide, clearly communicate safety procedures, and assist people with exit of the slide runoff exit point. Interact with other staff and customers in a friendly manner.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Carry, push, pull, drag, or hold objects up to 30 pounds (furniture or equipment). Climb stairs. REQUIRED EDUCATION, DEGREES, CERTIFICATES, AND/OR LICENSES Completion of ninth grade. Must obtain American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

Minimum of 16 years of age. Basic computer skills. Experience using Class software preferred. Ability to work evening and weekend hours. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with other employees and the public, in person and by telephone. Develop and maintain effective public relations. Make effective decisions quickly. Work effectively and maintain good working relationships in a small team environment, without close supervision. Perform routine office/clerical duties.
