Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Guttenberg, Iowa. This position requires providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves managing acute patient needs, performing standard nursing procedures, and collaborating with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 24 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 0+ years of clinical experience, current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications; minimum of 1 year clinical experience; location in Iowa; willingness to start ASAP
• Patient Modality: Acute care, Skilled nursing, Hospice
• Nurse/Patient Ratio: Typically 1:3 to 1:5, with a maximum of 1:5
• Orientation: 2-4 days of orientation
• Special Equipment: ICU medical IV pumps, Nihon Kohden bedside monitors, Novastat glucometer, Airvo, Bipap units
• Specific Procedures and Protocols: Frequent drips and infusions, IV starts, EKGs, oxygen initiation and weaning, bipap, standard nursing skills, sepsis protocols, stroke protocols, MI protocols, trauma management
• Travel Required: No
• Float Required: No
