RN - LTAC

LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a LTAC/Telemetry unit.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain communication with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff according to their competency and experience.
• Continue education to maintain clinical competencies and stay up to date with best practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have CO or multi-state compact RN license.
• ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care.
• Knowledge of central lines and preferred wound care experience.
• Patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:6.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
