Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary for the Med/Surg and TCU Department.Position available: PRN, Nights, 12 hr shifts.Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing this position performs the receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit; serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians; and assists the staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital. This employee demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, to adequately assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to provide age-specific needs.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma/GED, or equivalentValid CNA License in the State of IndianaCPRSKILLSCustomer SkillsBasic Computer SkillsDemonstration of basic knowledge of patient care and basic ADLsRequired use of Electronic Medical Record System (Cerner)Patient ConfidentialityTeamworkAs an affiliate of Norton® Healthcare, we enjoy the best of both worlds - access to all the resources of the largest health system in Louisville, while retaining local ownership and leadership in daily operations.Harrison County Hospital has continuously served the people of Harrison County since 1950.
