Position Overview
The State of Arizona is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between the IT department and business units. The ideal candidate will gather and document business requirements, analyze and improve business processes, support application development, and coordinate testing and implementation activities for large, complex projects.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Requirement Gathering
- Business requirements analysis and documentation
- Translating requirements into functional specifications and use cases
- System testing, test plans, test scripts, and test cases
- Business process analysis and improvement
- Stakeholder communication and presentation skills
- Coordination with developers and cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Visio
- SQL and SQL databases
- Data visualization
- Injury Claims Management experience
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and multiple business units.
- Support key business processes and applications and recommend process improvements.
- Gather and document requirements for large, complex projects.
- Translate business requirements into functional documents and use cases.
- Provide functional guidance to developers during design and development.
- Develop and execute system test plans, test conditions, scripts, and cases.
- Apply project management methods, tools, and processes to maintain business systems standards.
- Prepare and deliver project status updates and presentations to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of multiple Business Analysts on complex projects.
