Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves providing care to various patient populations within a medical surgical unit. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional to deliver high-quality patient care on a day shift schedule, with a focus on medical surgical procedures and patient management.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa (IA) license or multistate license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), at least 36 months of progressive care, stepdown, or medical-surgical experience, and skills specific to the discipline listed on the job
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic EMR experience, stepdown experience, neurology care experience, oncology care experience, and experience administering nitro, heparin, or amiodarone including titrates
• Additional Information: Submission requires clinical pre-screening via phone or text from a 405 area code; orientation scheduled for 09/08/2026 and 09/14/2026. The unit involves working with all types of patients within a med surg stepdown environment. The role may include float duties between units.
• Holiday Work Requirements: Contractor required to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays, including Independence Day, Memorial Day, or Labor Day.
• Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 36 months of progressive care, stepdown, or medical-surgical nursing experience.
