JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: A-MD-65899 Profession: Physician Specialty: Medical Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Redding, CA Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Oct 19, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026 Shift Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8a - 5p Call Type: Beeper Reason for Coverage: Shortage of providers COVERAGE DATES Oct 19, 2026 - Oct 23, 2026 Oct 26, 2026 - Oct 30, 2026 Nov 2, 2026 - Nov 6, 2026 Nov 16, 2026 - Nov 20, 2026 Nov 23, 2026 - Nov 25, 2026 Nov 30, 2026 - Dec 4, 2026 Dec 7, 2026 - Dec 11, 2026 Dec 14, 2026 - Dec 18, 2026 Dec 21, 2026 - Dec 24, 2026 Dec 28, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 15-20 patients per day Case Mix: Oncology/Hematology, all tumor types FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: iKnowmed (Clinic), Cerner (Infusion) Support Staff Available: RNs: 11, MAs: 2, Office Staff: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 30-60 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Chemotherapy administration and oversight Immunotherapy administration Blood/Platelet transfusions Hormone therapy Antibiotic therapy Rheumatoid arthritis injections Therapeutic phlebotomies JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology and Hematology Licenses: Active California License DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: ACLS (if moderate sedation), PALS (if pediatric patients) Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services. Manage hematology/oncology patients including diagnosis, staging, and treatment. Provide oversight for infusion center treatments and ensure MD onsite for all treatments. Perform hospital consults as needed. Participate in call schedule (night call Monday-Thursday, weekend call Friday-Monday).
