Job Details Job Title: Psychiatrist Location: Morehead City, NC Position Type: Part-time Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities Identify appropriate evidence-based or emerging best practice therapies to be employed by staff in delivery services. Ensure coordination between Mental Health and Substance Abuse services delivered with primary healthcare providers. Consult with primary healthcare providers on the clinical aspects of the individual being served and implications for their physical healthcare needs. Provide direct services such as medication management, psychiatric evaluation, and review and coordination of medications with primary care physicians for the individuals served. Work on a full-time or part-time basis for a minimum of 16 hours per week for every 50 individuals. Provide clinical services to all ACTT individuals. Work with the team leader to monitor each individual’s clinical status and response to treatment. Qualifications Education: Psychiatrist, Board Certified MD/DO. Work Experience: Physician with ASAM or ABAM Certification and two or more years of direct service diagnosing, treating, and evaluating effectiveness with the population served. Requirements The ACT team shall provide an average of three contacts per week for all individuals. Program services are primarily delivered face‑to‑face with the consumer and in locations outside the Agency’s facility. Program services must be documented according to Medicaid and CSEUC standards.
