This Biochemist I position offers a unique opportunity to make a global impact on patient health and well-being while working with Siemens’ innovative Atellica automation platform. In this role, you will partner closely with Manufacturing, providing technical expertise and guidance to support the development and testing of diagnostic reagents used by clinical laboratories across Atellica, Centaur, and Centaur CP systems. Reporting to the Senior Supervisor of Technical Operations, you will contribute to a diverse assay portfolio spanning HIV, Oncology, therapeutic drug monitoring, congenital conditions, and immunosuppressant therapies. This full‑time, onsite role is based at our Walpole, MA location and involves hands‑on work with a wide range of materials, including hazardous and DEA‑controlled substances. Key Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting to investigate technical issues associated with immunoassay reagents and testing components. Optimize immunoassay development and validation processes. Lead projects throughout the project life cycle. Coordinate and carry out root‑cause investigations with cross‑functional teams (QC, QA, Manufacturing, Tech Transfer, R&D) to resolve issues in production and validation. Create and participate in the design of experiments (DOE). Write compliance documentation associated with technical investigations, data analyses, and experimental conclusions. Operate Atellica, Centaur, and CP instrumentation using serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin. Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience BS or MS in Biochemistry and/or Molecular Biology. Industry experience working on design and/or process change projects and CAPAs (preferred). Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills. Adaptability with the ability to switch priorities to meet business needs. Proficient PC skills (MS Office 365: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and statistical methods (Minitab preferred). Must pass a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) background check. Base Pay Range $79,800 – $109,725 Additional Compensation Commission eligibility, if applicable, will be in accordance with the company’s plan and is based on individual or company performance.
