With Roku providing millions of movies, episodes, news, and channels, the Content Management System plays a vital role in managing content ingestion, selection, enrichment, and curation. We are seeking engineers capable of developing, designing, and deploying highly scalable, dependable applications, tools, and automation frameworks essential for efficiently handling the vast volume of content in our pipeline.About the roleRoku is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive end-to-end delivery of complex, high-visibility programs across The Roku Channel and Premium Subscriptions product areas. In this role, you will lead cross-functional coordination across engineering, product, design, and quality assurance teams to align diverse stakeholders toward shared goals on the Cloud TV platform and Content Tools. You will own program schedules, deliverables, and metrics while proactively identifying and mitigating technical, operational, and organizational risks. Success in this role requires a strong ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities without direct authority, and escalate critical issues with context and proposed solutions. You will play a key part in shaping how Roku delivers world-class streaming experiences to millions of users globally.For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $164,900 - $299,400 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.What you'll be doingLead complex, multi-team technical programs from inception to delivery across engineering, product, design, and QADrive alignment and decision-making through technical discussions with cross-functional stakeholders and diverse teams with competing prioritiesEstablish and manage program schedules, deliverables, and success metrics; track progress and implement risk mitigation strategiesProactively identify and manage technical, operational, and organizational risks by developing contingency plansEnsure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle and manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication and trade-off negotiationNavigate ambiguity and solve complex challenges, escalating critical blockers with context and recommended solutionsWe're excited if you haveExtensive experience leading technical programs in consumer software, media/streaming, or platform productsProven track record of managing multi-team initiatives with high dependency complexity and delivering resultsWorking knowledge of engineering systems, including client/server integration, APIs, experimentation, and analyticsExperience with streaming technologies such as AVOD, SVOD, FAST, live streaming, content discovery, personalization, or content operationsStrong expertise in risk management, critical path planning, and disciplined executionProficiency in JIRA and ConfluenceDeep understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologiesExperience leveraging AI tools for workflow optimization, documentation, or data analysisExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholdersA degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience#LI-JC5 What's Roku's approach to hybrid working?Roku fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment where teams generally work in the office Monday through Thursday.
