Mammography Technologist Per Diem

Job Summary This position is responsible for performing mammography exams and interventional procedures and for entering data into the Mammography Data Base (MQSA). Work is performed according to established procedures and protocols, and quality is reviewed by the Lead mammography technologist, quality control technologist, Supervisor or a radiologist. The incumbent operates a range of mammography equipment, maintains and operates it according to manufacturer manuals, and adheres to department protocols, UCDH policies and procedures. The technologist acts with initiative and responsibility to achieve maximum radiographic quality, manages workload efficiently, and collaborates with radiologists, clinicians and peers in a cooperative manner. Duties may be performed at the Main Hospital, Ambulatory Care Center and satellite facilities.
