Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Mother Baby unit on night shift, requiring prior Mother Baby experience and current NRP certification.

Details

• Work in a 34-bed private couplet Mother Baby unit
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4 couplets
• Uses Alaris pumps and bilirubin blankets/lights
• EMR system is Cerner
• Floats as helping hands to L&D and NICU
• Weekends required with no on-call shifts
• Performs circumcision procedures on the unit

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Mother Baby unit experience required
• Experience caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery preferred
• STABLE certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a couplet care model
• Team-oriented unit seeking candidates who enjoy teaching
• Navy blue and white scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers may be considered
