Behavioral Health Support Staff

The Behavioral Health (BH) Support Staff works in an office environment serving as the first point of contact for ACC clients. The support staff coordinates communication and services between Clinical Staff and patients. The support staff is the office organizer who manages the crucial data regarding the health of innumerable patients in the outpatient office. This is a part time position which includes two evening shifts, Mondays and Wednesdays 12-8pm.Duties:Open the office in the morning, greet consumers and agency visitors.To keep the reception area ready for each working day, and have all front desk activities fully operational at the start of the business hours.Create spreadsheets, manage data and create documents on computers using desktop publishing programs.Complete monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports as requested by Supervisor, Billing Director and/or Quality.Answers the phones as part of the customer service protocols, relays messages and channels communications appropriately via telephone and / or email.Organize and maintain forms and office stationery required for front desk activities and staff.Coordinates intake appointments by completing internal ACC screenings, initial and annual Ability-to-Pay, verifying insurance and eligibility, ensuring CMH screening, and follow-up as needed to ensure initiation of servicesCompletes client data-entry into ACC Birdseye database on a continual basis.Review consents, IBPS/PSA, LOCUS and treatment plans to have current datesReview authorizations prior to doctor appointments to ensure services will be paid by payer.Ensure initial & tri-annual psychiatric evaluations for adults and annual for children are scheduled and monthly to bi-monthly medication reviews are scheduled. Documentation of engagement with clients is completed in contact notes.Maintain all calendars (FOCUS, ACES, ODIN, MH-WIN) to ensure intake and annuals appointments are logged.Maintain medical records queue to ensure all requests have been mailed/faxed.Maintain intake packets (English and Arabic) brochures and required posters/flyers in the main lobby.Maintains all records for the psychiatrist, including medication consents and the scheduling of clients.A minimum of one (1) year experience with knowledge of general medical or outpatient office procedures.Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills necessary to work within a dynamic interdisciplinary team.Proficient written and verbal communication skills during patient and guest interactions.Verify insurance and collect/post payments.Full-time on-site attendance required; ability to provide coverage to all designated locations as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
