Supply Chain Manager

Girtz Industries is hiring a Supply Chain Manager to join its team in Monticello, Indiana! As a manufacturer of customized power modules, generator enclosures, and power infrastructure solutions, Girtz is growing as part of Legrand, a global leader in electrical and digital building infrastructure. This role supervises and coordinates employees responsible for ensuring Production has the materials and inventory needed to fulfill customer orders. The ideal candidate will drive supply chain efficiency, optimize inventory, strengthen supplier relationships, and support continued business growth. Job Requirements: Directly supervises employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Interviews, hire and trains employees who will be working in the department. Appraises employee performance, including rewarding and disciplining employees. Addresses complaints and resolves problems within the department. Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university or one or two years of related experience and / or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or Boards of Directors. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Reliable and predictable attendance required. Job Duties: Studies receiving or shipping notices, requests for movement of raw materials and finished products, and reports of warehousing space available to develop schedule for material handling activities. Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate the flow of materials or products. Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations. Interprets job orders as necessary for employees and assign duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the shop, department or work crew.
