Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will work from 1pm to 9pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The work pace is slower, as you will be the sole maintenance technician on the shift, overseeing 12 operators. Initial training will be conducted during the first shift for 3-4 weeks. This role offers competitive pay with a shift premium.

Responsibilities

• Utilize work orders and machine specification papers to identify machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.

• Operate forklift to move necessary materials for work completion.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and decide on the best maintenance and repair methods, whether in-house or outsourced.

• Inspect and test damaged machine parts, marking defective areas or advising supervisors of repair needs.

• Install, replace, or modify machine parts and attachments following production specifications.

• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.

• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.

• Set up and operate machines, adjusting controls to regulate operations.

• Perform general construction work, including painting, drywall, carpentry, and groundskeeping.

• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on equipment as detailed in the preventative maintenance program.

• Order and pick up parts as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area following company standards.

• Adhere to safety protocols and follow all company rules and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in maintenance techniques, including troubleshooting and mechanical repairs.

• Experience with preventive maintenance, schematics, and blueprints.

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required for Hilo certification.

• 3-5 years of machine repair experience on manufacturing equipment.

• Experience in furniture manufacturing is a plus but not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $32.50/hr.
