HEAVY EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Description Michigan Underground Specialists in Howell, MI is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join their hardworking team. This is a hands-on opportunity to keep critical underground construction equipment running at peak performance. If you're passionate about diesel mechanics and heavy machinery, we want to hear from you! Role and Responsibilities Ensure a positive customer service experience and high levels of satisfaction. Inspect and diagnose equipment brought in for repair. Wash equipment being repaired. Consult with product support when necessary. Look up parts and prepare repair estimates, suggest repairs that may be required soon. Complete all necessary repairs for assigned work orders. Ensure parts used are documented. Test and verify correct operation of all repairs. Perform preventative maintenance, fabrication, and welding, as assigned. Perform new equipment PDI’s. Maintain a clean/safe/organized work area and shop. Perform necessary building and grounds maintenance, including clearing snow from the parking lot. Adhere to all safety protocols. Complete required online and in-person training. Other duties as assigned.
