Registered Nurse: Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab

Overview Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for Cardiac Rehab at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. This full‑time, Monday‑Friday, day shift position requires availability between 6:30am and 5:30pm. Candidates must have at least 3 years of direct patient care experience; Cardiac, ICU, or ED experience is strongly preferred. BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire and ACLS within 1 year. Description The Registered Nurse will provide compassionate, high‑quality care to a diverse patient population, performing assessments, developing personalized care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and documenting care in accordance with regulatory standards. The role includes educating patients and families, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a supportive, patient‑advocate environment. Conduct thorough patient assessments and care planning. Administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate interventions. Educate patients and families about health conditions and post‑discharge care. Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Document all care activities accurately and timely. Uphold patient safety, adhere to evidence‑based protocols, and support organizational mission and values. Requirements ADN required; BSN or MSN preferred. At least 3 years of nursing experience, with Cardiac, ICU, or ED experience preferred. BLS certification within 90 days of hire. ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
