E and I Quality Control Inspector - Data Center

Colorado City, TX

Primary Responsibilities

Construction Quality Oversight

·      Perform daily inspections of construction activities.

·      Verify work complies with project drawings and specifications.

·      Monitor installation of structural steel, piping, welding, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, concrete, and civil work.

·      Ensure compliance with Quality Inspection Test Plans (QITPs).

·      Verify material traceability and documentation.

·      Conduct inspections for equipment and materials.

·      Participate in pre-installation and pre-task planning meetings.

·      Monitor subcontractor quality performance.

Inspection & Testing

·      Perform in-process and final inspections.

·      Verify installation tolerances.

·      Review weld fit-up and completed welds.

·      Coordinate NDE activities.

·      Inspect underground utilities.

·      Inspect concrete placement and reinforcing steel.

·      Verify bolting, torque requirements, and structural connections.

·      Perform equipment walkdowns.

·      Support system turnover activities.

Documentation

·      Complete daily inspection reports.

·      Maintain inspection logs.

·      Prepare punch lists.

·      Track NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

·      Verify corrective actions.

·      Maintain turnover documentation.

·      Support quality turnover packages.

Client Coordination

·      Participate in owner inspections.

·      Coordinate hold points.

·      Support third-party inspectors.

·      Interface with engineering and project controls.

·      Participate in project quality meetings.

Required Qualifications

·      High School Diploma or GED

·      3-7+ years of industrial construction QA/QC experience

·      Experience with EPC projects

·      Strong understanding of construction drawings

·      Ability to read:

o  P&IDs

o  Isometric Drawings

o  IFC Drawings

o  Structural Drawings

o  Electrical One-Line Diagrams

Preferred Certifications

·      AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) (preferred or required depending on project)

·      API 570

·      API 510

·      API 653

·      ASNT Level II

·      ICC Certifications

·      NACE Coating Inspector

·      OSHA 30

·      First Aid/CPR
