Quality Inspector

Position Title: Quality Inspector

Wage: $27.00-$32.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great a Quality Inspector position at a company in St. Louis, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Perform in-process inspections, first article inspections, PPAP, and customer-defined inspections.

- Execute quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement processes.

- Support process engineering with capability studies and internal audits.

- Maintain accurate documentation and inspection records.

- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.

- Train operators on inspection methodology.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Quality Inspector Requirements:

- Strong metrology background (highly preferred).

- Knowledge of gauging practices including attribute, variable, and transfer gauges.

- Ability to read blueprints and work with various measurement systems.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Experience entering data and analyzing reports in an ERP system.

- Strong communication skills and excellent record-keeping.

- Ability to identify root causes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector preferred but not required.

- Regular standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands.

- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

- Up to 5% travel.
