Loan Servicing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Loan Servicing Specialist for an immediate contract position in Richmond. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day administration of consumer loan accounts from initial boarding through final payoff. You will play a crucial role in ensuring transaction accuracy, maintaining up-to-date account records, and delivering clear, timely support to our members throughout the loan lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Loan Maintenance: Process operational account requests, including payment back-offs, loan extensions, loan modifications, and general record updates. Payment Processing: Accurately and promptly apply regular payments, principal curtailments, fees, reversals, account corrections, and payoff funds. Account Research: Investigate transaction histories, ledger balances, interest calculations, payment discrepancies, and system exceptions. Member Support: Respond to complex account inquiries, explain loan servicing activity, supply required documentation, and collaborate across internal teams to resolve issues. Qualifications & Skills 2+ years in Loan Servicing, Consumer Loans, or similar experience required. Demonstrated ability to thrive and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced work environment with proven capability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet strict operational deadlines. Microsoft Office, with intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Team player with solid communication skills and an ability to work well in a cooperative setting. salary: $26 - $31 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: High School Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day administration of consumer loan accounts from boarding through payoff.
