Life & Long-Term Disability. Job Summary: Performs a variety of clerical duties by preparing, compiling and maintaining patient care records for the hospital nursing unit. Also provides direct care to patients withing the scope of his/her training and experience under direct supervision of a professional nurse. Ability to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staff members in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. Minimum Qualifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 year of hire. High School graduate or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Minimum one year experience, medical terminology course or equivalent.
