Advanced Car Inspections is hiring a dependable automotive technician to perform mobile pre-purchase vehicle inspections throughout the Denver metro area.

This is a part-time W-2 position starting at 24 to 30 hours per week, with the opportunity to quickly become full-time as inspection volume increases.

PAY AND SCHEDULE

• Starting pay: $25 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement: $0.55 per approved business mile between inspections
• Parking and tolls reimbursed
• Paid training
• Three to four assigned shifts per week
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Closed Sundays
• First inspection generally begins at 9:00 a.m.
• Technicians are dispatched directly from home
• Same-day assignments may be included during scheduled shifts

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform comprehensive mobile pre-purchase vehicle inspections
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, and safety-related components
• Identify previous collision damage, paintwork, rust, leaks, and mechanical concerns
• Perform road tests when permitted
• Complete full-system diagnostic scans
• Use bidirectional scanner functions when appropriate
• Capture clear photographs and document all findings accurately
• Submit inspection results promptly through the company system
• Provide customers with a brief telephone summary after the report is completed
• Communicate professionally with customers, dealerships, sellers, and company staff
• Maintain inspection quality and meet scheduled arrival windows

PRODUCTIVITY EXPECTATIONS

A typical full shift should produce four to five completed inspections, depending on distance, vehicle condition, traffic, and scheduling. Route optimization will be used to reduce unnecessary driving.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least three years of professional automotive experience
• Strong vehicle inspection and diagnostic abilities
• Experience using professional automotive scan tools
• Ability to identify mechanical problems and previous collision repairs
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable, insured vehicle
• Acceptable driving record
• Smartphone with reliable cellular service
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently and remain on schedule
• Ability to kneel, bend, inspect under vehicles, and work outdoors
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required
