Medical Assistant (Full-Time)

We offer behavioral healthcare services – psychiatry, addiction recovery, mental disorder treatment, etc. – that allow clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being.

Summary:

An essential role in the delivery of residential treatment services, this direct care position is primarily responsible for interacting with and supervising clients in treatment.

Shift:

1st shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm, working every other weekend

2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, working every other weekend.

Pay:

$18/hour, with shift differentials

Shift Differentials:

7:00am - 3:00pm - 1st Shift differentials: (Saturday and Sunday) $1.00

3:00pm -11:00pm - 2nd Shift differentials: (Monday - Friday) $1.00 (Saturday and Sunday) $1.50

11:00pm - 7:00am - 3rd Shift Differentials: (Monday - Sunday) $1.50

Responsibilities:

* Answer phone calls, complete documentation, and filing to support medical staff at the facility. * Complete and maintain medical records. * Assist with admissions and the consent process for clients and provide ongoing support during medical appointments. * Obtain vital signs and urine screens and document outcomes for medical team review. * Complete lab requisitions on admission, monitor outcomes, and review with the medical team as needed. * Create and distribute client packets. * Maintain a safe physical environment for all clients. * Maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and effectively communicate and document changes to client status in charts and/or to the treatment team. * Support prior authorization and medication ordering processes as needed. * Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed by the medical team. * Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Previous experience as a CNA or Home Health Aide in NJ. * Must have N.J. Certified Medical Assistant certification. * Experience in drug and alcohol/mental health. * Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and applicable laws/regulations, DDAP, and CARF. * General office skills and organizational ability.
