Client Development Specialist

Louisville, KY | Central Region Perfection Group is seeking a motivated Client Development Specialist to support maintenance sales and new-business growth throughout our Central Region. This is an introductory sales opportunity designed for someone who wants to build a career in commercial HVAC sales. You’ll receive support and coaching from experienced Sales and Operations leaders while developing the prospecting, customer-discovery, financial-selling, and presentation skills needed to advance into a Maintenance Sales Representative position. Candidates who demonstrate consistent performance and readiness may be eligible for advancement within approximately 6–24 months. What You’ll Do Identify and research prospective commercial and industrial customers Generate new opportunities through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, social media, networking, in-person outreach, and other creative prospecting methods Contact decision-makers and schedule introductory meetings and facility visits Qualify prospects based on their facility needs, business priorities, and potential fit with Perfection Group Conduct initial discovery conversations and needs assessments Build relationships with executives, facility leaders, managers, and maintenance professionals Maintain consistent outreach activity and follow-up with prospective customers Manage multiple prospects and sales-development activities simultaneously Accurately document contacts, activities, opportunities, and next steps in HubSpot Partner with Sales, Operations, and technical team members to learn our solutions and support opportunity development Participate in regional sales meetings, training, trade shows, networking events, and community activities Travel occasionally to other Central Region offices, including Lexington, Kentucky, and Charleston, West Virginia. What We’re Looking For A strong interest in developing a career in business-to-business sales Confidence initiating conversations and engaging people you have not previously met Willingness to prospect consistently through phone, email, social media, networking, and in-person outreach Curiosity and the ability to ask thoughtful questions about a customer’s facility and business Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills A positive attitude and openness to coaching, feedback, and new approaches Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through Ability to manage multiple prospects, activities, and priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning HubSpot, LinkedIn, AI tools, and other sales technologies Willingness to learn the fundamentals of commercial HVAC, facility operations, and financial selling. A bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required. One or more years of business-to-business sales, customer-facing, lead-generation, or appointment-setting experience is helpful, but we are also open to candidates with the drive and transferable skills to grow into the role.
