Volt is immediately hiring for a Hardware Technician in Andover MA
As a Hardware Technician you will:
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret schematics, printouts, and technical specifications to perform testing and verify functionality.
- Conduct tests and evaluations on assigned functional areas to ensure product and equipment performance.
- Ensure testing instruments and equipment are regularly calibrated and verified for accuracy.
- Participate in debugging and troubleshooting activities for new and existing procedures, equipment, and products.
- Develop and implement new test programs and testing procedures to support emerging technologies.
- Document test results, identify issues, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Should have 6+ years of experience in testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, or a related technical environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, drawings, specifications, and test documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with testing equipment, calibration processes, and validation procedures.
- Knowledge of test program development and execution.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience creating new test programs and procedures for advanced or emerging technologies.
- Hands-on experience debugging complex equipment, products, or systems.
- Familiarity with electronics, manufacturing, engineering, or product testing environments.
- Ability to work independently on complex technical issues.
- Equivalent high-level experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
This is a full-time, Contract opportunity :: Shift: 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Pay rate*: $24.00/hr.- $25.00/hr.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
