Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a day-shift position in Des Moines, IA, requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath experience and compact or IA RN licensure.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Days shift, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, 4x10s Monday-Friday with a rotating day off (schedule cannot be guaranteed as blocked)
• 40 hrs/week base schedule
• Call requirement of 1-2 nights/week and every third weekend (7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday)
• Weekend requirements may include assigned cases on rare occasions
• Required to float across Des Moines campuses to similar units
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IA or compact/multistate RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Structural heart, EP, travel, and scrubbing experience highly preferred/preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab required
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Precepting may be required as needed
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates are accepted
• Prior UnityPoint Health (UPH) employees (FTE or PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments at other UPH markets within 12 months of separation, unless their last role was a travel assignment at UPH
