Role Overview
Join our Hartford, CT team to program and produce complex parts with Mastercam for customers in the Aerospace, Defense, Firearms, and Medical industries. You’ll transform specifications into accurate, efficient 5-axis programs and support setups and operation on CNC lathes to ensure exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Create, refine, and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis machining in Mastercam.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to generate high-precision components.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering and production to validate process accuracy and throughput.
- Execute quality inspections to confirm conformance to drawings and standards.
- Diagnose and resolve programming and machining issues in real time.
- Maintain thorough documentation of programs, setups, and revisions.
- Track and adopt advancements in CNC/CAM technology to elevate performance.
- Demonstrated CNC programming experience with 5-axis systems.
- Mastery of CAM workflows, specifically Mastercam.
- Deep knowledge of CNC lathe operations and machining fundamentals.
- Fluent in reading and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training/certifications are advantageous.
