Independent Evaluations in Neurology

Position Overview:
This is a 1099 role requiring a minimum commitment of 8 hours each month. You have the flexibility to work up to three full days weekly, allowing you to create a schedule that suits your lifestyle. The primary responsibility involves assessing patient disability levels for insurance providers, predominantly in worker's compensation cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to determine patient disability for insurance purposes.
• Manage your own schedule with significant flexibility.
• Work primarily with worker's compensation cases.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Neurology.
• No history of malpractice settlements or individual licensing issues.
• Prior experience with Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) is not necessary.
• Commitment to a minimum term of three months.
• Ability to begin within 30 days, with assistance in obtaining New York licensure.
• No malpractice insurance is required for this position.
• Engagement in outside work is allowed.

Coverage Areas:

• Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Suffolk County in Long Island.
• Ability to assess patients throughout New York State, regardless of your residence.
