Role Description The Honda Technician role at Brown Honda is a full-time, on-site position located in Toledo, OH. The technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks, according to Honda standards and dealership procedures. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repair work efficiently, documenting services performed, and communicating clearly with service advisors about vehicle status and recommended work. The role also involves using diagnostic tools and service information systems, following safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with Honda technologies and repair methods. Qualifications Professional experience in automotive service, preferably as a brand-specific or general line technician. Knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC components. Ability to perform accurate diagnostics using modern tools, service manuals, and computerized systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing repairs to manufacturer specifications. Effective communication skills for working with service advisors, teammates, and customers. Capacity to work safely, follow established procedures, and handle physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods. Completion of automotive technical training, manufacturer certifications, or ASE credentials is highly beneficial. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and eligibility to operate customer and dealership vehicles.
