Manager / Senior Manager, Financial Services Valuation

KPMG is currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, Financial Services Valuation to join our Valuations practice. Responsibilities Manage and deliver business and intangible valuations related to a variety of equity interests, assets, and liabilities related to the financial services industries (banking, insurance, fintech, Insurtech, and asset management) including customer relationships, distribution agreements, loan portfolios, core deposit intangible, contract intangibles, developed technology, intangible assets, indemnification assets, and more Design the scope of work for engagements, oversee day-to-day activities, assume responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverable, and effectively manage risk associated with engagements Build, maintain, and enhance client relationships; perform review of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes Supervise and mentor staff; provide timely and effective performance feedback and training Assist in business development efforts; collaborate with other KPMG practices to build cross-functional relationships Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG EVS practice Qualifications Minimum five years of recent experience in financial advisory and valuation within a business, valuation firm or valuation practice of an audit, tax and advisory firm with a strong finance and or accounting background Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, economics, or business Progress towards completion of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential; any individual who shows progress towards completion of ABV when their employment commences has one year from their date of hire to obtain an approved designation or credential for the hiring practice or service line Significant experience with valuations of business entities and intangible assets, purchase price allocations, analyzing goodwill and long-lived asset impairment, financial instruments, supporting a company’s value for bidding or asking price plans, litigation support, and financial analysis and research with the financial services industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to work well in a team environment and a commitment to mentoring and developing staff Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple valuation engagements and manage client relationships Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager Minimum eight years of recent experience with corporate valuation in an accounting firm, corporation and or law firm Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team members California Salary Range: $120,745 – $243,915 KPMG offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package including medical and dental plans, vision coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plans, and a robust suite of personal well‑being benefits.
