Network Security Engineer / Remote / Firewall

Boston, MA100% RemoteContract$60/hr - $75/hrOur client is a large enterprise organization looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This fully remote role will focus on network security, firewall security and policy analysis, configuration compliance, vulnerability management, and security risk remediation while supporting EST business hours and collaborating with U.S.-based and offshore teams.This is a great opportunity for a security professional who enjoys investigating security risks and understanding the "why" behind firewall configurations rather than simply administering devices. You'll have the opportunity to work at an enterprise scale, analyze firewall rules, identify compliance and security gaps, and work directly with multiple technical teams to drive remediation. The role also provides exposure to security automation, GRC, vulnerability management, and AI-driven security reviews.Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months, budgeted through the end of the year with potential extension into Q1.
