Senior Network Security Engineer / Intrusion SpecialistLocation: Addison, TX / Charlotte, NC / Denver, CO Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite Client Industry: Banking Duration: 12-18 Months Contract Schedule: Monday to FridayAbout the RoleWe are hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer OR Intrusion Specialist.Must Haves:Intrusion Analysis / SOC experienceStrong Splunk experience (log analysis, alerts, dashboards, reporting)Security log analysis experience (Apache logs, IIS logs, Active Directory logs)Experience investigating security incidents and threatsKnowledge of common web application attacks (SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Remote File Inclusion (RFI))Linux and Windows experienceStrong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)PlussesExperience with WAF technologiesUnderstanding of F5Previous Banking ExpScripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)Regex (Regular Expressions)Day To Day:Function as a member of an enterprise network application layer intrusion, detection, prevention, and response team.Will develop and implement custom alerts and monitoring controls to detect and mitigate threatsProvides leadership in assessing new threat vectors and designing and implementing effective controls.Leverages advanced investigative skills using best in class data correlation and log analysis tools.Will partner with senior leaders from lines of business organizations to triage security events and report on impacting security initiatives.Develops and implements processes or controls in support of audit and risk requirements.Additional Details:Full understanding of modern web site deployments and technologyFamiliarity with web application attacks including SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and remote file inclusion.Understanding of stateful firewalls and able to interpret firewall rules.Use tools to detect anomalous/malicious data transmissions on the network.Use advanced analytics / security tools to detect anomalous events on the network.Hourly Rate: $65-$70 per hour This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, (paid time, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, paid holidays annually - AS Applicable)At Collabera, we don't just offer jobs—we build careers.
