Travel Speech-Language Pathologist - $1,784 per week

Job Overview Travel Speech Language Pathologist for Washington, District of Columbia. 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel. Responsibilities Assist patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments. Evaluate and develop a plan of care for various patient populations in the acute care setting. Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Create individualized treatment and therapy plans. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and families about speech disorders. Report progress and status to appropriate parties, including family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience; new graduates encouraged. 1 year of experience acceptable for exceptional candidates. BLS and ASHA SLP National Certification with state‑specific licensing. Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Compensation Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
