The environment focuses on sterile compounding, quality, precision, and regulatory standards, with the opportunity to join an organization at an important stage of growth.The opportunity is in Nashville, one of the country's most dynamic healthcare markets and a city that combines a strong healthcare and life sciences presence with the restaurants, music, sports, neighborhoods, and quality of life that continue to attract professionals from across the country.For pharmacists already in the Nashville area, this is an opportunity worth considering.The RoleThe Sterile Compounding Pharmacist will be directly involved in preparing, overseeing, and verifying sterile compounded products in a regulated pharmacy environment.This is hands-on work requiring an experienced pharmacist who understands aseptic technique, sterile preparation, cleanroom practices, documentation, and the importance of getting every detail right.Responsibilities include preparing and verifying sterile compounded preparations, reviewing formulations and calculations, maintaining accurate compounding records, following established cleanroom procedures, supporting quality and compliance activities, and working closely with pharmacy, manufacturing, operations, and quality personnel.Compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> is central to the position.The Background That MattersThe client is not looking for a general pharmacist with only occasional exposure to compounding. Direct sterile compounding experience is important.Qualified candidates will have:A current Tennessee pharmacist license in good standingAt least two years of sterile compounding experienceStrong working knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy programAvailability for full-time work Monday through FridayAdditional state pharmacist licenses are helpful but are not required. Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, specialty pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, cleanroom operations, or another highly regulated pharmaceutical setting is also valuable.Schedule and GrowthThe pharmacy currently operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.As the operation grows, the company is considering expanding into overnight hours. Pharmacists interested in a third-shift opportunity are particularly attractive candidates and could become part of that expansion.These are full-time, on-site positions in Nashville. Local candidates, or pharmacists within a reasonable commuting distance, are preferred, and relocation assistance is not anticipated.
