Pharmacy Technician
Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center
Responsibilities Assists the pharmacists in services that require certified skill and training, but do not involve professional judgement, as assigned and supervised by the pharmacist; provides clerical support as needed; stocks Pyxis and maintains adequate inventory levels. Assists in correcting medication errors. Enters patient charges. Assists in audit functions and unit inspections. Practices inventory control. Assists in the preparation of parenteral solutions. Processes physician's orders and stock requests. Performs Pyxis duties. Stocks needed drugs and supplies. Performs clerical duties. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment. Processes I.V. orders. Demonstrates knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served. Competency requirements are met. Maintains crash carts. Qualifications HS diploma or GED required.
