If this sounds like you, we invite you to read on and learn more.Why work at Gleason?Excellent benefits package including a 6% Company 401(k) matchFlexible scheduling options available in some departmentsNYS Certified Apprenticeship ProgramShift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shiftsFormal and informal development opportunities.Position Summary:Using blueprints, schematics and detailed work instructions, assemble a variety of gear processing machines using various hand tools and building equipment.Job Responsibilities:Complete a machine build by assembling components and sub-assemblies.Assemble sub-components of machines.Complete sub-assemblies on machines.Inspect, clean, and assemble parts and equipment to ensure customer's specifications are met.Use crane and various hand and power tools.Identify and resolve issues regarding the assembly of the machine.Utilize precision measurement equipment.Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Read and comprehend detailed work instructions.Math skills such as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Work productively within a team environment as well as individually.Preferred Education/Training/Experience:Read and understand mechanical or electrical blueprints/diagrams is requiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Mechanical aptitudeProficient skill in the use of precision measurement tools a plus.Travel Requirements:No travel requiredThe salary range in this posting depends on qualifications and experience.
