Automatic Press Operator - Metal Stamping - 3rd Shift Full-time $20.00/hour + $3.00 (15% Shift Differential) = $23.00/hour Must be willing to train on 1st or 2nd Shift for at least 90 days before transition to 3rd shift. Reports to: Production Supervisor Job Purpose: Line Operators run automated lines, monitor equipment during production and ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of experience. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Set up, change, change over, and operate line according to production specifications Inspect equipment before and monitor equipment during production. Confirm that it is working properly by checking process parameters and indicators. Set up specific part programs and parameters for metal stamping presses, feed lines, and dies using the company’s standard practices and procedures Perform quality checks according to the company’s procedures to verify die set up prior to production run Make and maintain shims for blank and form dies Fix broken punches or sections of dies in the press or die shop Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specifications Report production quantities and labor detail accurately and according to the company’s recording process Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify the cause of errors, problems and defects Maintain production related documents and logs to ensure availability and accuracy Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead crane, etc to move raw material and parts as needed Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience 2-5 years of experience required Experience operating metal stamping presses Experience with setups/changeovers Experience with loading coils Experience with standard shop measuring tools and hand tools required Ability to perform standard shop computations (math) Ability to read schematics (blueprints) and engineering drawings Ability to perform basic maintenance of equipment Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC offers a drug‑free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
