Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services across a large territory, covering multiple counties. The role requires travel throughout the region, which may take over 2.5 hours from corner to corner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and treatment for patients with speech and language disorders.
• Manage a caseload of up to 6 patients per day.
• Document patient progress and treatment efficacy using the Homecare Homebase (HCHB) charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care in various settings, including acute inpatient, acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, and home health.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Kentucky state license for Speech-Language Pathology.
• Required to have a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a similar setting.
• Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, requiring 5 days of work per week, with each shift consisting of 8 hours. There are no weekend or holiday requirements.

Additional Information

• A department-specific orientation will be provided, lasting 2 weeks with a work coach.
• Travel within the designated counties is essential, and a company-provided phone and tablet will be available for work purposes.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter commitments.
