Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for a full-time, on-site position in Simi Valley, CA. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and participating in court appearances and client meetings. The attorney will collaborate with clients and support staff to ensure effective case management and contribute to firm-wide initiatives. Duties Manage and oversee a caseload, including legal research and drafting pleadings. Prepare and respond to discovery requests and motions. Appear in court, attend hearings, and participate in depositions. Engage in negotiations and client meetings. Analyze case facts and applicable law to develop strategies. Communicate regularly with clients and update them on case progress. Coordinate with support staff for timely and accurate case management. Maintain detailed records and contribute to firm initiatives. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active membership in the California State Bar or eligibility for admission. Experience in civil litigation or relevant practice areas preferred. Familiarity with California construction and/or engineering law is advantageous. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in the California State Bar. Skills Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. Ability to draft clear and well-structured legal documents. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Professional judgment and attention to detail. Proactive approach to problem-solving and case strategy.
