Digital Visualization Designer - Product Experience Analyst Hybrid - Houston, TX 6-12 month contract with possible extension and/or conversion One of our largest Fortune 500 retail client’s is looking for a Product Visualization Designer that will be responsible for designing intuitive, quality products through collaboration with end users and modern software development teams. Our team of Designers work directly with end users to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data through formal research. This information is used to inform product-related hypotheses, recommendations, and ultimately user stories in the product backlog. Qualifications 1+ year of relevant work experience Proficient experience in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: user research, interaction design, information architecture, visual design; exposure to and interest in growing in the others Experience translating user needs into visual assets Familiarity with analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data and presenting findings and recommendations Familiarity with rapid prototyping and visualization Familiarity with research and usability strategy deliverables such as discovery findings, mental models, scenarios, user journey maps, personas, debrief documentation, screeners, testing plans, task lists, low and high fidelity prototypes, annotated wireframes, and/or clickable prototypes Familiarity with approaches to translating findings into tangible designs such as heuristic reviews, usability testing, competitive product analysis, web metrics data, field research, quantitative surveys, user interviews, and persona development Exposure to rapid prototyping and visualization tools such as Axure, iRise, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Visio, Adobe CC, and UXPin Exposure to visual software tools such as Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, and Fireworks Exposure to style guides, iconography, and/or typography Responsibilities Responsible for designing intuitive, quality products through collaboration with end users and modern software development teams. Work directly with end users to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data through formal research. This information is used to inform product-related hypotheses, recommendations, and ultimately user stories in the product backlog. Collaborate with and support various team on needed input and assets Standardize and unify the visual design of internal tool interfaces, enhancing user experience and driving a measurable improvement in associate satisfaction ratings. Develop and document streamlined processes to help leverage automation in order to significantly reduce production timelines. Focus on process improvement and standardization in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, ensuring consistency and quality across all outputs. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve visualization inefficiencies, and help develop streamlined processes to minimize errors and optimize production timelines. Build and configure highly complex and customizable products with our proprietary software for purchase online and through an in-store application. Create logical and clear ecommerce product configuration experiences with minimal friction and superior clarity. Perform routine product configuration updates with highly sensitive time constraints. Use product and software knowledge to create natural product customization and conditional logic to support configuration limitations and possibilities. Provide ongoing technical product support for Call Center associates. Execute product update and QA initiatives with impeccable attention to detail, adhering to strict QA standards. Be an active and vocal participant in undertaking technical and UX related product initiatives. Manage/own all relevant steps of product build and updates including, but not limited to communication between departments, verification of task completion and correctness, troubleshooting and solving project issues and concerns, and proactively seeing all projects through to completion. Proactively and aggressively improve our product set up integrity and processes in pursuit of a perpetually enhanced site experience as demonstrated by key site metrics. Assist with continual process improvement. Act as product and configuration thought leader to support advancement initiatives. Follow tasks and projects through to a satisfactory completion across all stakeholders.
