DescriptionMy client is looking for a detail-oriented tax specialist to join their public accounting team, supporting a portfolio that includes real estate entities, pass-through businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. This position emphasizes technical review, tax planning, and client-facing advisory work rather than high-volume preparation tasks. The role offers close collaboration with firm leadership and a strong opportunity to expand into greater client ownership and long-term career progression.Responsibilities:• Review federal and multistate tax filings for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations, identifying issues and resolving them before final partner approval.• Analyze real estate and pass-through tax matters, including allocation calculations, basis maintenance, and depreciation treatment.• Contribute to planning strategies and advisory recommendations for property investors and high-net-worth clients.• Partner directly with firm leadership to support complex engagements and strengthen overall client service delivery.• Build trusted relationships with clients by responding to questions, clarifying tax matters, and providing thoughtful guidance.• Evaluate tax workpapers and supporting documentation to improve accuracy, completeness, and compliance across engagements.• Assist with more advanced tax matters involving multistate reporting and specialized real estate considerations when needed.Requirements• 3 to 6 years of tax experience within a public accounting environment.• Hands-on experience with partnership, S corporation, and individual income tax matters.• Knowledge of real estate taxation, including pass-through structures and related compliance considerations.• Familiarity with tax preparation and review tools, with CCH Axcess experience preferred.• CPA designation or active progress toward certification is preferred.• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal leadership.• Demonstrated interest in growth, receptiveness to feedback, and willingness to take on increasing responsibility.Job typePerm
