Industrial Pipefitter

Located in Columbia, SC, 29209, we are looking for a committed Industrial Pipefitter to become a key member of our workforce. You will play a vital role in the upkeep, repair, and installation of industrial piping infrastructure. We invite candidates who enjoy technical precision and solving complex mechanical challenges to apply. Core Duties Execute the assembly, installation, and upkeep of piping networks in alignment with project blueprints and technical requirements. Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Fit various diameters of schedule 40 stainless steel and screwed steel piping. Perform accurate pipe length calculations, cutting, and threading. Construct and install CPVC piping configurations. Conduct thorough inspections and pressure tests to identify potential leaks or system faults. Work alongside engineering staff and other tradespeople to streamline project workflows and outcomes. Operate specialized machinery, such as pipe benders and welding equipment, to complete tasks. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following all industrial safety guidelines. Keep detailed logs and documentation regarding all maintenance and installation activities. Mentor apprentices and junior-level staff to foster team growth and skill development. Required Qualifications Completion of high school or a GED; additional vocational schooling is considered an asset. Demonstrated history of success in an industrial pipefitting or comparable capacity. Comprehensive knowledge regarding piping materials, installation methods, and system mechanics. Competency in analyzing and executing work based on technical diagrams and blueprints. Familiarity with industry-specific safety mandates and regulatory standards. Strong analytical capabilities and a meticulous eye for detail to ensure high-quality results. Effective interpersonal skills to support seamless collaboration within a team environment.
