Oral Surgery Assistant

River Ridge Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Center is seeking a highly motivated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment. This individual will work closely with our surgeons to provide exceptional clinical support while helping create an outstanding patient experience from the moment patients arrive until they leave our office.

Qualifications

Preferred

• DANB and/or DAANCE certification
• Previous oral surgery or surgical assisting experience
• Previous dental assisting experience
• Experience with dental practice management software

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures
• Welcome patients and prepare them for treatment with compassion and professionalism
• Review and update patients' medical histories
• Monitor and recover patients following IV sedation procedures
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for surgical procedures
• Sterilize, organize, and prepare surgical instruments
• Take CBCT scans and panoramic radiographs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
• Help ensure every patient receives an exceptional experience throughout their visit
