Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPC) nurse located in Asheville, North Carolina. The position involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and vascular surgery, including open heart procedures, thoracic surgeries, and interventional treatments. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Address: 509 Biltmore Avenue
• Shift: Day Shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Dayshift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); experience in stepdown and telemetry nursing; no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with cardiovascular surgery and vascular procedures (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass); Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily cares for patients with post-surgical cardiovascular conditions, heart failure, chest pain, sepsis, and other cardiology diagnoses. Care includes epidural management, chest tube management, IV medication administration, and cardiac gtt management among other responsibilities. The unit operates with a team of approximately 100 staff members, including registered nurses, patient care technicians, and health unit coordinators.
