Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY Performs MRI at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performance of these duties and procedures requires independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply principles and techniques of imaging for radiologic diagnosis. Must possess the necessary skills to perform procedures for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and/or experience: Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic training. Certified in MRI by ARRT or certification eligible. Meets the requirements for registry by ARRT. Has gained knowledge of MRI principles and techniques either by formal classroom studies, seminars, or clinical experience. Minimum of three months additional MRI imaging techniques with eligibility to apply for ARRT Certification in MRI. Extensive MRI experience is desired. CPR certification required. Knowledge / Skills: Must be trained with safety screening for MRI. Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills. Demonstrates self-direction in improving and acquiring the skills and abilities necessary to enhance job performance. Abilities: Must use RIS/PACS to archive images. Start IV’s on patients for contrasted exams. Work independently following physician protocols. Expected to have excellent manners and must represent facility in such a way that patients feel well cared for and would return to facility in future. Expected to demonstrate proper telephone etiquette, and strong attention to detail. Comfortable learning and working with new computer systems. Be able to meet or exceed patient satisfaction at all times. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to interact with patients and staff in a courteous, professional manner. #J-18808-Ljbffr
