Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an acute care hospital OR, requiring 3+ years of experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Acute care hospital operating room with 8 rooms and a daily census of 25
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required per unit needs
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required, including to sister facilities nearby
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, podiatry, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, bariatrics, and ophthalmology

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required, 5 years preferred
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification preferred
• CA state license preferred; license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Pending license accepted
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and endoscopic procedures preferred
• Experience with crash cart equipment preferred
• Skills in laparoscopic-assisted procedures across multiple specialties preferred

Additional Information

• Scrub attire or business casual dress permitted
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and location if applicable
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days
• Commitment to work 3 of the 5 major holidays required (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
