Commercial Carpenter

$26 to $30 an hour W-2 with weekly pay, Monday to Friday day shift, and overtime when the job calls for it. Skillforce is hiring a commercial carpenter for ongoing remodel work on an active campus in Blacksburg, VA. You will build and maintain the jobsite safety protection, then run production carpentry as the remodel work moves.

Pay and Schedule
• $26 to $30 per hour W-2, based on experience
• Weekly pay by direct deposit
• Monday to Friday, day shift schedule
• Overtime available during busy stretches
• No nights or weekends on the standard schedule

Responsibilities
• Build guardrails, stair rail, and hole covers
• Set fall-protection anchor points and barricades
• Frame walls, set doors and frames, add blocking
• Handle demo, blocking, and trim during the remodel
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and inspection ready

Qualifications
• Commercial or institutional carpentry background
• Comfortable reading and building from plans
• Steady working around students and staff on site
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and check
• OSHA 30 or safety-rail experience is a plus
