The Registered Nurse uses critical thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN assists with organizing patient care activities as assigned. Responsibilities Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and developmental needs of the patient. Develops a written plan of care using assessment data. Implements nursing care plan. Evaluates patient's response to interventions. Demonstrates leadership skills. Assists in organizing patient care activities. Qualifications Education : Graduate of Registered Nurse Program Experience : None License : Registered Nurse Certifications : BLS/CPR (American Heart Association), ACLS (AHA) (within 90 days for inexperienced RNs), NIH Stroke Certification (within 60 days of hire or transfer), PALS (within 90 days of hire or transfer), Basic EKG, Critical Care Course & Trauma Course within 6 months for inexperienced RNs, TNCC (within 18 months of hire or transfer) Organization St. Mary's Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420‑bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach. The hospital has been serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for more than 80 years.
