Safta’s Table, opened in early 2026, is a casual, all-day café located in Lakeview, New Orleans. Offering family-style meals to-go and many of the comforting dishes guests have come to love from Safta and Saba, Safta’s Table is designed to feel like your grandmother’s kitchen: warm, familiar, and welcoming.

Celebrating approachable, soulful food and a relaxed dining experience, Safta’s Table is a place where guests can stop in for a quick bite, pick up dinner to enjoy at home, or settle in for a casual meal with loved ones in a cozy, inviting space.

The Server is responsible for providing warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service throughout each guest’s dining experience. From welcoming guests and explaining the menu to accurately entering orders, delivering food and beverages, and processing payments, the Server ensures that every interaction reflects the care, comfort, and genuine hospitality for which Safta’s Table is known.

Servers work closely with the culinary, beverage, support, and leadership teams to maintain an efficient flow of service, anticipate guest needs, and create a welcoming environment for all.

• Welcome and greet guests warmly and promptly.
• Guide guests through the menu, answer questions, and provide thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu ingredients, preparation methods, specials, beverages, and potential allergens.
• Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale system.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while following established service standards.
• Monitor assigned tables, anticipate guest needs, and provide attentive service without making guests feel rushed.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly and professionally to concerns.
• Communicate allergies, dietary restrictions, special requests, and other important information clearly to the culinary team.
• Prepare and present guest checks and accurately process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables and service stations throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening, closing, restocking, side work, and general cleaning responsibilities.
• Support food running, table maintenance, and other service needs to promote teamwork and a smooth guest experience.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and cash-handling procedures.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests, team members, and leadership.
• Handle guest concerns with care and involve a manager when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
• Friendly, approachable, and genuinely guest-focused.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn and confidently explain food and beverage offerings.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tables and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating a point-of-sale system and handling guest payments.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take direction with a positive attitude.
• Must meet all applicable age and certification requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of up to eight or more hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely carry trays, plates, glassware, and other service items.
• Ability to bend, reach, balance, and move continuously throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-moving, high-energy environment.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
