Sourcing Analyst

The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain initiatives to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. This role analyzes spending patterns, supplier performance, market trends, and procurement data to identify cost‑saving opportunities, improve supplier relationships, and support overall operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Analyze purchasing data, supplier performance metrics, and spend reports to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities. Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing structures, quality performance, and delivery metrics. Maintain and manage supplier databases, contracts, and sourcing documentation. Monitor market conditions, commodity trends, and supply chain risks that may impact material availability and pricing. Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools. Support inventory optimization initiatives while balancing production requirements and carrying costs. Assist with supplier audits, scorecards, and continuous improvement programs. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in cost‑reduction projects, supplier rationalization efforts, and value engineering initiatives. Support ERP/MRP system data integrity related to suppliers, pricing, and material sourcing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. 2–5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, QAD, or similar platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or CPM are a plus. Experience sourcing raw materials, fabricated components, castings, machined parts, electronics, or industrial equipment.
